Kira Howe – An Introduction.

Hi everyone, my name is Kira Howe, and I am so excited to be part of the Spotlight dance family and their Brand Ambassador for 2018. I look forward to sharing with you my journey and look forward to hearing yours.
I live in Moorpark, California. I am 15 years old, a sophomore at Moorpark High School and on the varsity dance team. I have an older sister and she is in her first year of college at UC Davis. I have two dachshunds and they are my spoiled doggies. Their names are Roxie (black short hair) and Buster (red short hair). My dad and mom are supportive of what I do and encourage me to follow my dreams. So, here I am doing just that!
Dance is my life I know it probably sounds cliché but it is! I started dancing when I was nine at Pam Rossi Dance Ten. I love my studio, take dance in ballet, pointe, lyrical, contemporary, hip-hop, tap, and have been competitively dancing since the age of ten. I also dance for Moorpark Civic Ballet and have had several lead roles in The Nutcracker.
When I am not dancing, I hang out with my friends, cook (pasta and pepperoni pizza are my favorites) and volunteer feeding the homeless. Feeding the homeless has taught me that life is precious and being able to bring food, a smile, and conversation to these families makes me feel good to give back. In the summer, I love being outdoors. This past summer we went to Colorado and I tried something new. I went paddle boarding and it was so much fun that I am ready to do it again this year.
